Last days of Create the Rainbow special - don't miss out! GST is coming 1st July!

You have till 11.59pm AEST tomorrow to take advantage of the fabulous Create the Rainbow Special!

I only got my stamp set this past week as I forgot to order it earlier, but have had lots of fun creating with it!

These are some of the cards I have made in the last few days.

These first two cards were inspired by a card by Okul seen on Pinterest! For the card above, I added some Gold Shimmer pen to the clouds and circles (I was a little heavy handed on some of them).
The card below has Clear Shimmer Brush on the circles and clouds.
I used the CTMH Stitched Circles Thin Cuts for the circles on both cards, with the clouds and sentiment from D1813 - Be a Rainbow Stamp set.

The card above was also Pinterest inspired by a card by Margaret Moody. I also used the CTMH Stitched Circles Thin Cuts for the flowers and the Stitched Ovals Thin Cuts for the leaves. I added Clear Sparkles for the flower centres.

For the final card I am sharing with you today, I used left over pieces of "rainbow" cardstock I had on my desk. The sentiment from D1713 - Be a Rainbow is stamped in Cranberry Ink and the clouds are stamped using Glacier Ink - the lighter cloud was second generation stamped. I then add Clear Shimmer Pen to the clouds.

And don't forget our Dad is Rad special that also finishes tomorrow - 30th June at 11.59pm AEST!

I love this stamp set! It is so versatile and can be used for more than just "Dad" projects!

Get yours today from my website!

And a reminder that due to new laws, GST of 10% will be added to all orders from 1st July! Since Close To My Heart came to Australia 5 years ago (I joined on day 1 on 1st July 2013), you and I have been able to place orders of less than $1000.00 GST free! That all changes on 1st July when new ATO laws are applied on all overseas purchases! This means that with the addition of 10% GST, all prices will increase by that 10%. The prices on my website do not include GST - this will be added at a later date. The GST will be added at the checkout! So if you want to beat this price rise, place your orders before 11.59pm AEST on 30th June.

Come back again soon and see what is NEW and what I have been creating.

I have had fun creating with some of the cardstock from the Rainbow! (I forgot to order the stamp set at the beginning of the month, so am waiting for it to arrive so I can create with it too!)

At my monthly workshop last week, we created this layout. It is very simple, but I think it is a great way to showcase some of the photos that help us remember our trip to Sydney last October. I used the cardstock colours from the Rainbow Cardstock pack - Cranberry, Tangerine, Lemon, Willow, Pacifica & Pansy. To create my title, I used the Block Alphabet Thin Cuts. The frames were created by adapting a frame on the CTMH You Are Here Cricut Cartridge in Design Space. (My Design Space file for the frames can be found here!

For this first card, I just used scraps of the Rainbow cardstock cut into 1/4" strips added to the card base. I then used the Basic Ovals Thin Cuts and Pansy cardstock to cut a mat for my sentiment and the Stitched Oval Thin Cuts and White Daisy Cardstock for the sentiment. This was stamped using M1186 - Happy Birthday Stamp set and the Black Ink Pad.

This 2nd card is similar to the first, but I added Black Cardstock with the strips added vertically. I stamped the sentiment in Pansy and added some sequins from my stash (these are from the retired Prickly Pear collection).

For my last card, I used White Daisy, Cranberry, Tangerine, Lemon, Willow, Pacifica & Pansy cardstock, C1724 - Nights of Lights Stamp Set, M1186 - Happy Birthday Stamp Set, Cranberry, Tangerine, Lemon, Willow, Pacifica & Pansy Ink Pads, Stitched Circles Thin Cuts, 3D Foam Tape. The strips of cardstock are different widths - depending on the scraps I had left in my stash.
I think these 3 cards are a great way to use up some of your stash of scraps!

Fresh Air CTMH Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Fresh Air Blog Hop. If you arrived from Lauren's blog, you are on the right track. If you arrived by accident, then I hope you will hop around all the blogs and see what everyone has created using the Fresh Air Collection.

I created this layout to share at our recent Hearts SA Consultant meeting here in Adelaide. It was created using Glacier, Kraft & White Daisy Cardstock, Fresh Air Paper pack, D1783 - Fresh Air Scrapbooking Stamp Set, Basic Banners Thin Cuts, Stitched Circles Thin Cuts, New England Ivy Burlap Ribbon, Thin 3D Foam Tape & Glue Dots.
To add the banners, I separated the strands of the New England Ivy Burlap Ribbon and just used one strand for each string of banners!
The Fresh Air Collection is so versatile, but I thought it was perfect to show some of the many photos we took on a trip to Taronga Park Zoo in Sydney in October last year! Once I added my photos to the layout, I decided it needed another title, so used my Cricut to cut Taronga Park Zoo, using the Artristy Cricut Cartridge for the font.

Of course, I have also created some card using the Fresh Air paper pack! For the first one, I distressed the edges of the paper and cardstock and used the NEW Colourful Texture stamp set (D1784) to stamp the background. The New England Ivy Burlap ribbon was used - well a couple of strands - behind the sentiment - (M1186) Happy Birthday.
On this second card, I used Nutmeg & Glacier Cardstock along with some Whisper Twine & Clear Sparkles. The sentiment is from the Fresh Air Cardmaking Stamp & Thin Cuts Set (Z4186).

The Fresh Air collection is available from your consultant till the end of August, WSL. If you don't have a consultant, you can contact me here!

I would love you to leave a comment before you continue on the blog hop to see what Doris has created.

Be sure to come back again soon and see what is NEW and what I have been creating.

Dad is Rad

During June, Close To My Heart is celebrating dads with a special stamp set and workshop bundle
The bundle contains:
1 – My Acrylix® Rad Dad Stamp Set (D1811)
11 – cardstock sheets (1 Almond, 1 Crystal Blue, 1 Juniper, 1 Sapphire, 2 Toffee, 4 White Daisy, 1 gold glitter)
1 – White Burlap Ribbon (Z3323)
1 – Gold Bows (Z3380)
4 – white cards & envelopes
The materials in this kit can be used to create one two-page scrapbook layout, one single-page layout, and four cards. The instructions are available for download below from my website here! (But only during June 2018, so don't miss out!)
These are the sample projects created by the CTMH art department!

I really love the colours featured in this workshop! And to celebrate my family, I created my version of the layouts and cards! As you can see, I used a different sentiment on my double page layout to what the art department did, and I added a couple more photos. I still need to add my journalling, but I am very pleased with how this layout turned out.

This single layout is also included in the workshop guide. I love the how the diamonds can simply change the look of the page. The colours are perfect to show off Ali's winter school uniform - this was the last "First Day" in winter uniform for her!

My cards all have a different sentiment on them to the ones created by the art department, except the first one. I love to be able to personalise and change projects to suit me!

Come back again soon and see what is NEW and what I have been creating.

If you arrived here by accident, then I hope you will hop around all the blogs and see what everyone has created using our June Stamp of the Month - A Bushel & a Peck!

The past month has been very busy, so I am only sharing a couple of cards I have created using this gorgeous stamp set, along with a double page layout.

This first card was created using White Daisy cardstock, S1806 - A Bushel & a Peck Stamp Set, Black Memento Ink Pad, ShinHan Markers - Carmine, Mahogany, Clay, Leaf Green, Pastel Peach, Z4031 - Leaf Embossing Folder, 3D Foam Tape.

This second card was created using White Daisy & Kraft cardstock, S1806 - A Bushel & a Peck Stamp Set, Black Memento Ink Pad, Water Colour Pencils, New England Ivy Burlap Ribbon.

The left page of this layout was inspired by one shared by my dear friend and fellow consultant, Jacquie Paech. I used White Daisy & Sapphire Cardstock, Beautiful Friendship Paper Pack, S1806 - A Bushel & a Peck Stamp Set, Sapphire Ink Pad, Blue Burlap Ribbon & Glue Dots. On the right page, I added a couple of 3" x 4" Flip Flaps so I could fit more photos on my page.

The June Stamp of the Month, S1806 - A Bushel & a Peck is only available this month - June 2018! You can get the stamp set for just $7.50 by spending $75.00 with your consultant or your can purchase it for $27.00.  If you don't have a consultant, you can contact me here!
