Hi & welcome to our S1901 - Card Captions Stamp of the Month Australasian Close To My Heart Blog Hop. If you arrived here from Maz's blog, you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.
I know you are going to love the NEW Seasonal Expressions catalogue, and especially this stamp set! It will become a well used set in my stash!
Of course I created some cards using this set, but I also wanted to use it on a page layout. My page was inspired by the one on page 126 of the the NEW Seasonal Expressions.
I used Mint & White Daisy cardstock, the NEW Seasons Mix Ins paper pack, Something Fierce complements, Shaker Window Thin Cuts, Shaker Window Foam & Acetate, Gold Loose Sequins (and some blue sequins from my stash), S1901 - Card Captions stamp set - for the title and some of the elements in one of the shaker windows, D1827 - Years of Sweetness stamp set, Canary, Lagoon, Lemon, Mint & Pewter ink pads, Artbooking Cricut Cartridge to cut the cupcake.
This was such a fun layout to make and I'm sure I will be using it again!
For my first card, I was inspired by one on page 54 of the NEW Seasonal Expressions catalogue. It was created using Carolina & White Daisy cardstock, Something Fierce Paper Pack, Shaker Window Thin Cuts, Shaker Window Foam & Acetate, Silver Loose Sequins, Z4264 - Budding Peony Stamp & Thin Cuts, S1901 - Card Captions stamp set, Black & Pewter ink pads, Watercolour Pencils, White Twine &White Ribbon.
Please excuse the shadow in the window - the cardstock is not different colours.
The little stars in the shaker window were cut using one of the Thin Cuts from the Shaker Window set.
This card was created using White Daisy cardstock, Silver Glitter Paper, Something Fierce paper pack, Basic Circles Thin Cuts, Stitched Circles Thin Cuts, Decorative Borders Thin Cuts, S1901 - Card Captions stamp set, Z4263 - Butterfly Friendship Stamp & Thin Cuts, Black, Bluebird & Carolina ink pads, Silver Shimmer Trim and Silver Embellishing Thread.
I used 3D Foam tape to add some dimension to the butterfly and sentiment.
My next card features the NEW Swiss Dots Embossing Folder - which I think will get lots of use, along with Mink & White Daisy cardstock. I added some Mink cardstock and Mink Twine to finish it off.
I used glue dots to hold the twine in place and add the bow and added dimension by using 3D Foam Tape to add the top layer of the card
On this card, I have also used the NEW Swiss Dots Embossing folder and the NEW Z4263- Butterfly Friendship stamp & thin cuts set with some Mink Twine. I stamped the butterfly in Pewter & Sugarplum (to match the cardstock used for the background). The sentiment (from S1901 - Card Captions) is also stamped in Pewter. I finished it with some Clear Sparkles and added some sparkle to the butterfly with the Clear Shimmer Brush.
Another card I made using S1901 - Card Captions for the sentiment & a butterfly from the Butterfly Friendship stamp & thin cuts set was this one with Canary & Mink ink for the stamping and Canary cardstock and Gold Shimmer Ribbon with some clear sparkles. I used the NEW Playful Scallops embossing folder on this one.
And the last card I want to share with you today once again features a sentiment from S1901 - Card Captions and one of the gorgeous flowers from Z4264 - Budding Peony stamp & thin cuts set. I stamped the images & sentiment in Mink ink then used watercolour pencils to colour the images. I added some detail using the NEW Stitched Quilt Shapes thin cuts. I added Peach cardstock & Mink Twine to finish off my card.

Wow loads of ideas, I love your layout - so fun & your cards each had a great little technique to showcase on them too.
Beautiful projects Doreen. I love your page. It's one I have down to copy form the ideas book too- so effective with all your pet photos.
