CTMH Australasian Smitten Blog Hop

Hi & welcome to our CTMH Australasian Smitten Blog Hop! There is just two of us this time, but I am sure you will love what we have created. If you arrived from Dannii of Scrappy Chicks blog, you are in the right place. If you just happened by, I hope you will continue on to see what the other's have created using this collection.

Last year, I took part in a group of many people taking a Photo a Day! I am doing that again this year, and have decided to use (where possible) one of the current CTMH paper packs. My pages will be fairly simple to make sure this project is achievable.

This is one of the February Photo a Day layouts I have created using the Smitten paper pack. I teamed the paper pack with White Daisy & a little bit of Capri cardstock. The title was created in Design Space using the font from the Artistry Cricut Collection.

I cut 2.75" squares then cut them in half diagonally with the edge ones being cut in half again. So it is a really simple layout to create. And is ready for photos to be added along with my journalling.

For this 2nd layout (which would be ideal for using scraps), the strips are 0.75" wide or high and the length or height of the photo next to them. In the corners the squares are 0.75" x 0.75" and there is 0.25" between each element. Of course, for both these layouts, I could add embellishments if I wanted to later.

I stamped up these cute images using the Smitten Stamp set, but haven't had a chance to create anything with them yet. You might notice that I have changed the sentiment on the balloon held by the koala. To do this, I masked the inside of the balloon when stamping the image, then used a sentiment from the Short & Sweet stamp set (retired). It fit perfectly inside the balloon. I will colour these images and add them to cards in the next few days hopefully, and share on social media.

The Smitten collection is available from your CTMH Maker till the end of February WSL. If you don't have a Maker and live in Australia, you can find this collection on my website!  Don't forget to check out all the other specials and goodies while you are there!
Before you continue on to see what Dannii from Scrappy Chicks has created, I hope you will leave a comment.

Stay safe & well.

Happy papercrafting.

Doreen
