More Christmas Projects

I am currently working on a very special project that I can't wait to share with you! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these Christmas projects I have created recently!
This page was Pinterest inspired. I used Willow, White Daisy, Cranberry & Kraft cardstock, City Sidewalks paper pack, Gold Glitter paper, E1034 - Marker Stamp set, D1700 - Way to Go stamp set, Versamark ink pad, Gold Embossing powder, Gold Glimmer ribbon,  3D Foam tape & Glue Dots.

I then used the same idea to create a card.

These three cards were created using the NEW Ltd Edition Digital City Sidewalks Cricut Cartridge. They are simple but, I think, very cute.

This card was inspired by fellow consultant - Julie Parkinson. It was created using the NEW Flower Market Cricut Cartridge with Rustic Home Fundamentals Paper teamed with Cranberry, Cocoa, Topiary & Bamboo Cardstock. I added a bow from the NEW Rustic Home Ribbon to finish it off.

Come back again soon and see what is NEW and what I have been creating.

Swan Lake

The Swan Lake Collection is only available till the end of December - in the Holiday Expressions catalogue. I am featuring this collection at this month's events.
These are some of the projects I have created using this gorgeous range.

This card was inspired by the one on page 21 of the NEW Holiday Expressions

These next two cards were made using left over pieces along with one of the stamp sets available this month as a part of the "Create Kindness" campaign

This layout was Pinterest inspired - I love the idea of patchwork.

This layout was inspired by one created by my dear friend Jacquie - I love these colours together!

One of the latest card styles seen on Facebook is the "Twist & Pop" style. I have made a couple so far, but this one uses the Swan Lake Collection. The top picture show the front of my card and the picture below shows the inside of my card.
Fellow consultant, Joy Tracey has created a fabulous video showing how to create this card if you would like to make your own. (You will need to scroll down a page or two on her blog to find the link, but it is worth it!)

Come back again soon and see what is new and what I have been creating.

Christmas is Coming.....

I can't believe it is September already! So that means with the NEW Holiday Expressions catalogue, there is lots of gorgeous Christmas goodies! And I have had some fun playing with a few of these goodies already.

One of my favourite (if I had to choose just one) is the NEW Nativity themed stamp set (D1704 - A Child is Born).

So I have been busy creating some cards using it.

This was the first card I created with this stamp set - inspired by the one on page 39 of the NEW Holiday Expressions catalogue. I stamped all the images except Baby Jesus onto the white card, then coloured using the ShinHan Twin Touch Markers. Because I matted the white with our NEW Sea Glass cardstock, I chose colours to coordinate and loved it. Baby Jesus was stamped on a scrap of cardstock then I cut around the image once coloured and added it with 3D Foam Tape.

For this card, I used the same layout as the first one, but cut around all images, adding Thin 3D Foam Tape behind all the images except Baby Jesus, where I added 3D Foam Tape so it would stand out further. I wanted to frame my Nativity scene, so I cut a frame to add to the card before adding the stable roof and Baby Jesus.

I had seen a floral card on Pinterest that inspired me to make my 3rd card. First, sponged the card base with Sapphire ink, then I stamped the stars in Versamark ink and gold embossed. Then I cut a triangle from a piece of Colonial White Cardstock so that the Star of the East could be seen in the gap at the top. I stamped the Baby Jesus image using Black Archival stamp pad, then coloured the image using the CTMH Watercolour Pencils. The Sentiment is stamped in Black Ink then the image was added using Thin 3D Foam tape. This piece was then added to the card base using 3D Foam Tape.

For this card, I stamped, coloured and cut two each of the images (except the cow and sheep), then added them with Thin 3D Foam Tape or 3D Foam Tape for Baby Jesus. I wanted this card to be able to used as a decoration if desired so I made a 6" x 6" Easel Card and covered the bases with the Woodgrain printed paper from the NEW Rustic Home Paper Pack. I am really pleased with how this card turned out!

Where do I start.........

The NEW Holidays Expressions catalogue is now available with lots of NEW crafting goodies - including two Christmas themed collections. But there is so much more! I have had a chance to play with some of the products during the last few weeks and now I don't know what to show you first!

So here is a peek at one of the layouts, using the Swan Lake Collection, that I will be sharing at my workshop next weekend. It also features one of the fabulous NEW Pocket Plus Memory Protectors that compliment the Flip Flaps so well! These Pocket Plus protectors allow you to add a few extra photos, embellishments, pieces of memorabilia or some journaling to an existing layout without having to complete another full layout.

The layout above is my original layout - based on "Mesmerize" in the Magic Idea book.

I had some more photos that I wanted to add to the layout, so I used a Pocket Plus protector with 3 x 6" x 4" pockets. I continued the page decoration onto the middle pocket and added my photos and journaling.

The decoration was also continued on the other side of the pockets and I was able to add another 3 photos. So by using just one Pocket Plus protector, I added another 5 photos and some journaling.

Come back again soon and see what else is NEW and what I have been creating.

Below are a selection of cards I have created using the kit. The first two pictures show the 3" x 3" cards I made using the sentiments designed to fit in the white circles that come with the kit - adding some coloured circles behind the stamped image with some other decorations. And I stamped on the envelopes too!
The larger cards are using the sentiments that can be used inside cards or on the front as I have along with the cute giraffe and hippo from the Tutu Cute Stamp set.
For all my cards, I used the ShinHan Twin Touch Markers to colour my images.
